Tony -- 2011 Senior - Preview!

I had the great pleasure of photographing a 2011 senior that I have seen grow up so fast right before my eyes. I can't say that I know Tony's favorite color or his favorite movie, but what I do know is that he has been playing drums since the day he could hold a spoon to his mouth. I remember when he loved hot wheel cars,boy scouts and baseball ... and of course drumming, drumming, drumming! Tony is captain of the Irondale Drumline and is among the stars in academics. We had a great time during his senior photo session because Tony is a natural. Just one more thing he can fallback on, if a music career doesn't work out. {smiley} Have a great senior year, Tony! I can't wait to hear about your college selection.

Senior Fellas - Preview! {2011 Senior Photography}

I had a fun, fun session with 3 senior guys from Shakopee High School. Ben, Jason, and Matt are all good friends and they all came together to get their senior photos knocked out. They are superstar jocks in football, basketball and track. Matt adds guitar to the mix too. The guys were really easy to work with and hilarious at times. I had a tough time getting them to be "serious". They couldn't stop smiling. That makes my job pretty easy so I didn't mind. Great session guys! Thanks for being "good sports" :-)

Emma C. { 2011 Senior Photography}

I love, love shooting seniors! They are so fun! Ms. Emma did not disappoint. It was such a nice day and her carefree spirit made it easy to photograph her. I'm not sure she would admit it, but I hear she's a "superwiz" in Math and Science. When she graduates next spring, she plans on focusing her studies in Engineering! Good luck Emma in your senior year! I hope you have a FABulous year!

PUG Meeting -- Bridal Model Shoot

Last week I attended the Minneapolis Pictage User Group meeting. This networking group has given me the opportunity to connect, learn and share ideas with some wonderful local photographers. This month's meeting was a shoot with models wearing bridal wear. I loved shooting these two ladies, they were so easy going and of course very natural in front of the camera.

Shooting with the photographers in the group was fun and motivating! It was great to try a few new things and see the results. I hope to do a shoot like this again in the near future! Here's a peek at just a few of my images! Enjoy!

Crystal and Jared {Minneapolis-St Paul Wedding Photographer}

The end of the summer brought beautiful weather for outdoor summer weddings. Crystal and Jared got married outdoors on Boom Island in Minneapolis and headed for a boat cruise on the Mississippi River for their reception with their family and closest friends. Congratulations you two! Thank you for choosing me to be part of your beautiful wedding day!

Baby Braylon {Minneapolis-St Paul Photographer}

Well it has been quite some time since I've written a blog post. This summer has been busier than I expected but I wouldn't have it any other way. I did find the time to slow down just a little to welcome my new little nephew Braylon. He's now just over a month old but here are some of his newborn photos just days after he came home. I'm looking forward to sharing more photos. It's almost time for 2 month photos now and I can't wait to photography my little cutie pie.

Mackenzie -- 6 months old now!

Boy how time flies. When I showed up to shoot Mackenzie's 6 months portraits I was surprised at how much she had changed. I photographed mom's maternity session and Mackenzie's newborn session. She is so big and has beautiful strawberry blonde hair. She was so funny because she was quite intrigued by all the textures I brought along. First the soft fuzzy rug, then the flower mat, and then the soft white blanket. After all that, the floor vent was quite interesting! She is such a doll and I can't wait to take her 1 year photos. I'm sure I'll be chasing her around when that time comes.
